It is pretty obvious at this point that he has no desire to play for the Pelicans. Whether he is hurt or not, he doesn’t appear to be really present. This now poses a serious challenge for the Pelicans in assessing Zion’s value.
In my opinion, he’s not even worth a straight swap for Mikal Bridges. Perhaps a general manager will overpay him, but his deal could make him the worst replacement in the league the next season.
Who would want to trade for Zion, and what would be a fair trade?
not enough for the Pelicans to move him; they would probably choose to take a chance on his skill rather than exchange him for pennies in order to cover his health.
