Robert F. Smith, who is currently worth $8 billion US, has long been the wealthiest Black man in the country. He is a venture capitalist with a background in STEM.
David Steward is currently the second-richest Black American, with a net worth of $6 billion. He is an IT enthusiast.
Kanye never achieved a net worth anywhere close to this level. At one point, he claimed to be worth $6-7 billion, although there was no proof to support that claim; the greatest amount Forbes estimated him to be worth was roughly 2.5 billion.
In the meantime, the wealthiest Black man on the planet is not even an American. He’s from Africa. As of October 2022, the net wealth of Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote was USD 18.6 billion.
