Hey guys, do you think Jason Statham’s reported $20-$25 million paychecks per major Hollywood action movie are justified, or do you feel these sky-high salaries for actors are excessive and unreasonable compared to average wages? What are your thoughts on the compensation structures in the film industry?
I feel it is justified. He’s a huge name in the film industry. He has made his name over the years.
Picture this, in 2008, he was the lead actor in “Death Race”. The movie’s budget was $ 45 million and it grossed almost $80 million worldwide.
o the Movie was kinda successful and so I wouldn’t criticize his paycheck for that reason
Jason Statham’s action movies bring in big bucks, so studios pay him big bucks - $20-25 million per film. Some think it’s fair for his star power, others think it’s crazy high compared to average jobs. The film industry pays based on what sells, making it a complex system.
One notable distinction between The Rock and Statham is that the former isn’t averse to giving his characters a hard time. In the meantime, Rock’s act of being an unbeatable hero is becoming old.
